#10 How to Grow Your Email List Organically

What would you do if all of your social media disappeared overnight? For a business owner, that is a super scary thought.

Welcome to Private Practice Lounge, a podcast dedicated to providing therapists with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve success in their private practices. I’m Janessa Borges, a first gen Latina therapist, that teaches other therapists how to grow successful full paying private practices with zero stress.

So I wanted to discuss a short version of what an email list is and why you should have one as a private practice therapist.

An email list is a list of emails that you have for current clients or potential clients. The purpose of having an email list is very important because the email list you have is your own property – you own it.

A lot of people are in Facebook groups, on Facebook, on Instagram – all those are great ways to have presence and to grow your brand and for exposure.

However, all of those things rely on an algorithm. If you have been doing this for a while, as I have, there have actually been a few times where everything crashes and people literally can’t access or post on social media.

Some other times, more often than not, there’s algorithm changes and I’m not going to get into that because tech is not my specialty, but the algorithm is a formula that the platform designs and they adjust it as they see fit.

And if you’re in Facebook, they can block you if they feel that what you’re saying doesn’t stand up with what they believe in or their sensors or if you’re in your group you can get kicked out – there’s so many things, right.

An email list is something that you own.

Now how do you grow your email list?

In this episode, I share how to build authentic relationships with potential clients and effectively nurture your email list to create long-lasting connections. I cover why an email list is crucial and the best way to grow an email list organically.

Resource: Are you ready to stop playing small and scale your business?

I’m an expert in reading people, and extracting what you WANT to say and communicate it clearly and effectively to those you want to connect with. (Like a translator)

I put all the puzzle pieces together and help you apply it to your business.

One of the challenges in all the podcasts you’ve listened to, or the expensive programs and coaching you’ve paid for, is that you just didn’t quite get the success you were hoping for.

You didn’t have the individualized help you needed to apply it, or the coaches you have worked with just didn’t “get you.” Right?

The best programs work BUT you need a side-kick to help you apply all you’ve learned (and all you’re missing) so you get the results YOU need!

Even with all of their secret sauces, magic recipes, and playbooks you seem to be missing something…the secret ingredient to make it work for YOU.

My gift is seeing past where you’re stuck. I can see your vision, pull it out of your heart and your mind and create results.

I make sure your gifts are highlighted in a way that speaks to your ideal client, so they say “I want to work with HER!”
